If you haven't begun, and the original switch is going to be replaced with an exact same style replacement, simply make a pictorial drawing prior to disassembly. If you're 'drawing challenged', now's the time to place your/your friends camcorder/digital camera into use. {might as well do something with it, to justify why you bought it in the firstplace). Take the machine outside, for good shadowless lighting. Document disassembly process. Make printouts as you feel necessary. Accidental memory loss can happen; it happens to me on a daily basis :>). Changeout the switch. Reverse the disassembly process.

You may need to work fast at reassembly, if you're using the camcorder in re-wind mode!!!

haha!

thanks, actually i am NOT going to use the same switch assembly, and therin lies my problem.
I currently have a 3PDT toggle switch, but its only rated at 17A, so i may return it and get two 25A switches
(billmayo says he uses a 3PST for the direction and a SPST for the on-off)

i'll docuement my progress and post any docs back into the archive!

I'll loo tonight as well. I know there were wiring diagrams on the last pages of the Parts list for both the AOSmith and the GE motor factory setups. I'll try to get mine out and scan it in for you. Between Dylan and I, one of us should be able to get around to it :).
