If you haven't begun, and the original switch is going to be replaced with an exact same style replacement, simply make a pictorial drawing prior to disassembly. If you're 'drawing challenged', now's the time to place your/your friends camcorder/digital camera into use. {might as well do something with it, to justify why you bought it in the firstplace). Take the machine outside, for good shadowless lighting. Document disassembly process. Make printouts as you feel necessary. Accidental memory loss can happen; it happens to me on a daily basis :>). Changeout the switch. Reverse the disassembly process.
You may need to work fast at reassembly, if you're using the camcorder in re-wind mode!!!
